Does animals reincarnate? As an animal communicator, I often get asked this question by those missing their pet in the afterlife. Here is what my experience communicating intuitively with animals has revealed to me.
Are animals reincarnating and what’s their relationship with their Soul Contracts?
Being an Animal Communicator puts me in an ideal position to field these types of questions from people! I hear every day someone saying things like, “My cat is my soulmate; I just want him back!” Others inquire into animal reincarnation (dog and cat reincarnation specifically), which provides exciting possibilities as per intuitive animal readings; read on!
As we’ve already established, animals reincarnate just like us humans do – becoming part of our soul family groups and returning as animals into your life as companions (rather than people). So it is likely that any current pets have come before them in previous lives as animals (rather than people).

Can animal souls reincarnate as humans or vice versa? Surprisingly, animal souls remain animal while human souls remain human – there’s no cross-reincarnation happening here – I haven’t met any animals who indicated they had ever been human before in any past lifetime, or that they intended on becoming one at any point in the future. Since animals have learned unconditional love while humans still don’t, there seems to be no cross-reincarnating.

Problem with Pet Reincarnation
Reincarnation is something I am very intrigued with, yet there is one major flaw with it: according to what my experience as an animal communicator has shown me, animals don’t come back into our lifetimes – for instance my old pup Clifford won’t reincarnate as Tuukka!
People often seem shocked when I tell them this, asking me “But how could this be?” since Muffy acts so similar to my childhood cat Farrah – they both do similar quirky little things! However, most often an animal from another realm is actually training the new one for life as part of their soul contract and this explains their similar personality traits.
What Are Animal Soul Contracts with Reincarnation? In order to answer the second part of your question accurately, first it is important to understand what an animal soul contract is. These agreements between animal souls and human souls help the latter evolve (and master Unconditional Love). When an animal soul reincarnates into another lifetime – although likely related – contracts could vary; for example if in this lifetime a horse soul helped someone develop self-belief they might in the next one help the same person build incredible confidence – with hopefully similar contracts made between soul contracts.
