What Is a Soul Contract? Contrary to popular belief, soul contracts do not refer to agreements between two souls but are actually agreements we make with ourselves in order to avoid experiencing negative beliefs about ourselves or experiencing their effects.
Your Soul Contract may dictate that you strive to become number one at whatever you do at all times; its basis could lie in negative beliefs such as not feeling worthy.
Your Soul Contract may be stopping you from experiencing love, making money, feeling good about yourself or making friends – or from doing any number of other things. There will likely be an underlying negative belief which led to its creation in order to prevent its fulfillment.
Your Soul System
Soul Contracts and negative beliefs make up part of your Soul System, which also includes Seed Thoughts, Discordant Energies and Root Beliefs. Each person possesses their own individualized Soul System in order to identify which components require attention.
Many people focus on “breaking” their Soul Contracts; however, to truly master and release them requires cultivating a deeper understanding of any associated negative beliefs.
What Are Soul Contract Examples Each Soul Contract represents a lesson you need to learn in order to cultivate and evolve your soul. Learning more about why Soul Contracts appear in your life can lead to happiness, health, wealth, and overall well-being. There are four major types of Soul Contracts.
Relationship Soul Contracts These are agreements you made between yourself and another soul before birth that may cause conflict or great emotion between individuals. Understanding and living out these contracts can help heal or release relationships more fully.
Animal Soul Contracts

Lifetime Soul Contracts When in an emotional state that was distressful or overwhelming, repeating negative experiences led to lifetime Soul Contracts being made with you. Realizing their significance will release them and allow you to progress more freely forward.
Bump Soul Contracts
Bump Contracts can serve as a pre-birth Plan B contract that appears if your soul lesson learning has gone off track. If you ignore a Bump Contract the first time around, more bumps will arise until eventually you follow through and learn your lesson properly.
